Websites

Websites and apps that stand on their own feet.

Break and Code is a one-on-one studio in Zaandam. I design and build your website, web app or iOS and Android app as your own software: your database, your payments, your code. A one-page website starts at € 500, you see a clickable concept within 48 hours, and every package sits at about half of what a Dutch agency asks.

What you get

Your own application, built to be yours.

I build software you own, connected to the services you already pay for, and you keep changing every word, photo and price yourself in a live editor. The three columns below show where that differs from a rented theme.

Break and Code

Your own app

  • The repository, the Postgres database and the Stripe account, all in your name
  • Shop, tickets, events and bookings built in
  • Members with two-step sign-in and GDPR export
  • Stripe payments with invoices and payouts
  • You edit text, photos, menus, pages and prices
  • No plugin licences and no fee per sale

WordPress or Joomla

  • A theme plus a stack of plugins to keep updated
  • Shop, tickets and members are separate paid add-ons
  • Security depends on every plugin author
  • Large ecosystem, easy to find a freelancer

Shopify, Wix or Squarespace

  • A monthly plan plus a fee on every transaction
  • Your data and design live inside their platform
  • Custom flows stop where the plan stops
  • Quick to start with a standard catalogue

Live work

Pick what you are building. Watch how I built it.

Five products, each designed, built and shipped by me, working solo with AI tooling from the database to the app store. Choose the one closest to your plan and the deck walks you through it.

Services

Four things I build, all of them working.

Websites

A one-page starter for € 500 that presents your concept, or the full business website: cinematic motion, a working contact and newsletter back end, member accounts, and an editor where you change every word, photo, menu and page yourself.

From € 500

Web apps and shops

Dashboards, portals, booking systems and webshops on your own database, with Stripe checkout, ticket sales and event calendars, connected to the APIs you already use.

From € 3.950

iOS and Android apps

One codebase for both stores. Push notifications, offline mode, payments and a back end shared with your website, so nothing is entered twice.

From € 14.900

AI, voice and video

Assistants, CV and document generation, smart search, AI voice-overs and generated video, built into your product with spend limits and audit logs.

€ 49 / hour

APIs and integrations

Stripe, Mollie, Google, Meta, Bunny CDN, Netlify, mail, maps and calendars. Your product talks to the services you already pay for.

Voice and video

AI voice-overs, generated and edited video, captions, motion graphics and launch films, produced in the same studio as the product.

Design, menus and print

Brand kits, printed and digital menus, interfaces and motion. One visual language from the logo to the last hover state.

Data and dashboards

Postgres, live counters, exports, invoices and payouts. The numbers your business runs on, in one place you own.

Security and privacy

Two-step sign-in, rate limits, GDPR export and deletion, consent records and audit trails. Security you can show a client.

Mobile

iOS and Android from one codebase: push, offline, payments, store listings, and a back end shared with the web.

Automation

Scheduling, publishing, reminders, transactional email and reports that send themselves, without anyone pressing a button.

Content and AI copy

Copy in Dutch, English and Arabic, translations kept in one place, and AI drafts with a human edit, so the site reads like you.

Fast on its feet

From a concept to a working product in days.

  1. 01

    A 30-minute call

You explain the idea in your own words. I ask the questions that decide the shape of the product and give you a fixed price.

  2. 02

    Concept in 48 hours

A clickable design of the screens that matter, in your brand. You react, I adjust.

  3. 03

    Build in days

Database, API, payments and members are wired from day one. You watch it grow in the editor and write copy while I work.

  4. 04

    Launch and care

Your domain, hosting, monitoring and backups. A care plan keeps it fast and secure, or you take the keys.

Pricing

Agency quality at about half the agency price.

I checked what Dutch agencies and freelancers charge in 2026 and set every package a little over half below what they ask. Each price below names the figure it is measured against, and the saving is worked out from that figure. One person does the work, so there are no account managers and no plugin licences to pass on.

Market figures are indicative 2026 ranges for Dutch agencies and freelancers, collected in September 2026 from published rate pages and comparison sites (Searchlab, Appfront, Retrii, Trustoo, Websteen). All prices exclude VAT. You pay a package online by card through Stripe and the project starts the same week; if you would rather pay in two halves, send the form and I will invoice you. Hours are sold as a block of ten. The care plan is billed per month.

Editor note: prices and offers come from Site Data → Products. An offer with a stock of 5 and an end date sells five times and stops on its own. Visitors do not see this line.

The story

From the dance floor to the database.

  1. 01 · 2014 · Beirut

    Informatica at AUST

Born in Dubai to a Syrian family, I started a computer science degree at the American University of Science and Technology in Beirut. Arabic is my first language; code became the second.

  2. 02 · 2015 · Amsterdam

    Chose the floor

A year later I chose the floor over the lecture hall and trained full-time as a dancer in Amsterdam. Breaking taught me the discipline I still build with: footwork first, then the freeze.

  3. 03 · 2021 · Zaandam

    Dance Healthy

I founded Dance Healthy and built it from zero into a national community brand: cultural and corporate events across the Netherlands, and movement programmes for schools, companies and refugee accommodations.

  4. 04 · 2022 · AI specialist

    Automation that ships

As a self-employed AI specialist I built end-to-end pipelines for content, voice and video: language models inside production workflows, voices with ElevenLabs and Speechify, video with Runway, Descript and InVideo, visuals with Midjourney and Stable Diffusion.

  5. 05 · 2022 to 2024 · US and Europe

    Marketing for Ser.vi

Marketing and social media manager for a cross-Atlantic startup: content calendars and campaigns for the US and European markets at the same time, as the sole marketing responsibility.

  6. 06 · Zaandam

    Back to the Street

I founded Back to the Street, Zaandam's urban dance festival on De Dam: battles, cyphers, a line-up, a crew of volunteers, and a ticket system I built myself with seat holds, an admin panel and a live counter for the battle spots.

  7. 07 · 2024 · The Netherlands

    UrbanCultureHub

A fully AI-integrated national platform for urban culture, built solo from product vision to launch: 30,000 or more locations, the largest database of its kind in the Netherlands, with crews, challenges, street cred, booking and ticketing.

  8. 08 · 2026 · Break and Code

The studio side of Dance Healthy

GoZaanstad, CVBien and the builder itself, Easily Created, followed. Break and Code is where I do the same work for you: one person, one conversation, AI doing the heavy lifting, software you own.

The film

Twenty seconds, no sound needed.

Photographs from the floor and screenshots of what is running right now. Nothing staged.

The effects lab

Every move I can build, running right here.

Play with them. Change the numbers and watch what the numbers do. Each one tells you what it is called, so you can name what you want instead of describing it. Drag the ones you like into your shortlist and send it over.

This is your site. Add an effect and watch it land on the part of the page it belongs to.

Build it in front of you

Everything you add goes straight onto this page, on the part it is actually about. A nav effect lands on the nav, a checkout effect on the form. When it looks right, send the page and I build it.

    Your shortlist

      Why the name

One method that answers to two names.

Breaking taught me to rehearse one move a thousand times so that a crowd sees it once, and to step into the circle first without knowing whether it lands. Software turned out to be the same habit on a different floor. Break the thing yourself, in private, until you know exactly where it gives way. Then write it down in code and put it in front of someone. Break is where the method comes from. Code is where it goes.

Break and Code is the studio side of Dance Healthy, the company behind my academy and my events. Healthy is the word I hold every product to: it stays fast, it stays secure, it gets its updates, and it does not depend on a plugin someone stopped maintaining.

      • Foundation firstYou get the repository, the database and the Stripe account in your name. The design is the last layer, and the one you keep changing yourself.
      • One person, one conversationYou talk to the person who designs and builds it. No hand-offs, no account manager, no ticket queue.
      • Yours to keepHost with me, move it, or hand it to another developer. Nothing is locked to a platform account or a monthly plan.
      • Practise until it looks easyA concept in 48 hours only looks quick because the same building blocks have been rehearsed on five live products.

      Questions

      What people ask first.

      Start a project

Tell me the idea. You get a price.

A few lines is enough. You hear back within one working day with a fixed price and a time for a 30-minute call.

      • Zaandam, the Netherlands. Clients across the country and remote.
      • Reply within one working day. Concept within 48 hours of the call.
      • The form lands in my inbox, and I answer it myself.

      Launch notes

Thank you. Your message is in and you will hear from me within one working day.
